Trail Conditions Key...

XX - Closed for the Season

TC - Temporarily Closed - Waiting for conditions to improve

OS - Opening Soon: Marked & Waiting for Snow(After 12/15)

LI - Trail is passable for marginal snowmobiling, some bare areas

FA - Trail is in general, adequate shape

GO - Trail has ample snow cover

EX - Trail has exceptional snow cover

Trail Information & Requirements

1). We have approximatly 25 miles of Trails on Grand Island.

2). In order to ride on Grand Island you will need New York State Registration and a New York State Parks Permit.

3). Parks permits can be obtained at the following:

Trail Notes:

1). Please remember that trails require a minimum of 3" of snow to be officially open for riding.
2). Two new bridges have been built over the two main water hazards on Power Line trail. The Mobil trail has been widened and re-routed to bypass some low areas.
3). Snowmobiles are to STAY OFF the bike path side of Beaver Is. Pkwy. NYS parks has given permission for the other side ONLY !
4). Snowmobiles are permitted to use the bike path from Bedell Rd to Buckhorn Park. Please respect Long Rd residents near the trail, AVOID AGGRESSIVE RIDING & KEEP NOISE DOWN !
5). St.Timothy church trail is CLOSED ! Use the Mobil trail ! Ride the front of Mobil and the Viking Motel then turn back at open field right after the motel, then follow trail to Whitehaven Rd.
6). There is a single trail through Veterans Park. Stay on the trail, DO NOT ride on any of the athletic fields.
